Coverack: main road reopens
A Cornish village which was hit by a flash floodis to have its main road restored sooner than predicted.
A 4 foot wall of water cascaded down the main route in and out of Coverack on Tuesday night, after epic thunder storms - breaking up huge slabs of concrete and sending masses of debris into the sea.
At first, it was thought that reopening the road would take "weeks rather than days" - but Cornwall Council say it will be back in action today (24 July).
Members of the local community and council figures will be attended the 'reopening ceremony'.
Around 50 homes were deluged following the destruction last week.
