Dramatic footage of helicopter flood rescue

ITV News has obtained footage of a rescue in the flash-flood-hit village of Coverack.

A couple in their 70s had to be airlifted to safety as the water rose around their home:

The Council have confirmed that everyone is accounted for and there are no injuries.

Cornwall Council say around 50 homes are affected by flooding, and there are no reports of any injuries so far.

An emergency centre has been opened in Cornwall's County Hall.
