Step it up cardio
Jane Wake's cardio exercise for intermediate fitness fans.
This is based around a step. If you don’t have a gym step, you can use any step /bench around the house, garden or park. It needs to be 20 – 40 cm in height and big enough for you to be able to step your whole foot on the step and off again.
Aim again to work at a pace where you can only string 1 – 2 sentences together. To make it easier use a lower step, or harder, use a higher step. You can also do this on the ground without a step. Keep working on your posture – lift up as tall as you can with each step. All these videos are in REAL time – just follow and GO!
The Moves
Basic Step – step up right, step up left, step down right, step down left.
Step up and knee lift. Step up right, knee lift left, step down right, step down left and repeat.
Step Repeater – step up right, lift left knee and repeat the knee lift x 3. Step down left and repeat on other side.
