The Promoter is not responsible for any vote services promoted outside the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man as these are not within their control. Votes must not be sent in through agents or on behalf of another person, and viewers cannot submit votes as an agent of any other person. The Promoter and the Programme producers reserve the right to discount votes if they have reasonable grounds to suspect they have been made from outside the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man, from unofficial third party voting services or otherwise in breach of these terms and conditions.
Please note it is not possible to vote via any method not stated in these terms and conditions. The Promoter may, at its sole discretion, withdraw app voting on a temporary or permanent basis.
Opening/closing times:
Voting opens and closes for each voting event as specified in the app, on the website, on authorised social media and/or during the Programme.
Voting restrictions:
Viewers are limited to one (1) vote per registered mobile number per voting event.
The Promoter and/or the producers of the Programme reserve the right to vary the format of a voting event at any time. Any such variation will be announced in the Programme, on the app, the website and/or on authorised social media and such format as announced in the Programme, on the app, the website and/or on authorised social media will prevail.
Eliminations
At various points in the Programme, at the discretion of the Promoter or the Programme producers, Islanders may be at risk of leaving the Programme villa. In the case of votes to keep Islanders in the Programme, the Islander(s) with the lowest number of votes may leave the villa. In the case of votes to eliminate Islanders from the Programme, the Islander(s) with the highest number of votes may leave the villa. In each case, the elimination format, and any specific terms relating to that particular elimination, will be announced in the applicable on-air interaction information, on authorised social media, the website and/or within the app before voting opens.
The producers of the Programme may in their discretion reintroduce an Islander seen in earlier stages of the competition who was previously evicted. The Programme producers' decision will be final.
Voting results:
The outcome of a voting event will be shown on the app, on authorised social media and/or during the Programme.
During the final episode of the Programme, the couple with the most valid votes will be declared the winners of the competition.
Contingencies
If any of the Islander(s) leave or are removed from the Programme for any reason, including without limitation medical reasons, then the producers of the Programme will in their sole discretion decide whether such Islander(s) will be removed from the vote or the vote may be cancelled and restarted without such Islander(s), having regard to all circumstances and information available to them at the relevant time. The producers of the Programme will in their sole discretion determine if another Islander may be allowed to enter the competition.
If the outcome of a vote cannot be reasonably determined because of a technical failure, a tie, or for any other circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the producers of the Programme, their agents or sub-contractors, then the Promoter and Programme producers may choose (at their sole discretion) that the vote will be cancelled and reopened at a later date; or that the Programme producers will determine the outcome; or that the other Islanders will determine the outcome.
If a voting event is cancelled, then at the Promoter’s and Programme producers’ discretion either the Islander(s) will decide on the outcome of that voting event, or the voting event will be postponed.
Any decision by the Islanders, or by the Promoter and Programme producers will be final.
