Paralympic athlete Stephen Miller, from Cramlington, is on his way to Rio to compete in the games. 

Stephen from Cramlington, Northumberland, will receive his MBE at Buckingham Palace today. 

Paralympian Stephen Miller competed at the British Wheelchair Athletics Association Grand Prix Series throwing his best distance since 2009.

Stephen Miller's twentieth senior international season got underway last week at the Fazza International Athletics Competition in Dubai. 

The club thrower from Cramlington had been hoping to end his career with a fourth gold medal at London 2012, but it was not to be.
