Herm is looking into ways it can reopen the island after being closed to all visitors because of coronavirus.

On its Facebook page, officials say they are still working closely with the States of Guernsey and the ferry company Travel Trident to implement a reopening strategy.

They say an announcement will be made next week.

However, boat users are being asked to refrain from landing on Herm's shores for the time being, with the decision still to be made.

It comes after Sark announced it is lifting its border restrictions at the start of June.
