Game of Thrones' Mark Addy stars in brand new crime-drama

It’s veering more towards Starchy and Hutch

Mark Addy

Mark Addy shot to fame as Dave in The Full Monty and went to be a star as The King in season one of Game of Thrones. He's also a sitcom star with a regular role in Sky One's Trollied... but we're now about to see a more serious side to Mark Addy as he makes his debut in Anthony Horowitz has written a seven-part crime-drama 'New Blood.'

Mark plays a jaded old-school copper tasked with 'babysitting' a young and keen coming British-Iranian PC. 'They are an odd couple' he says. 'It's such a departure for a police drama. There's a bit of a spin to it.'

Looking back, Mark says he enjoyed playing The King in Game of Thrones. 'It’s a juggernaut of huge proportions. It was great to be in it.' And looking forward, 'I don't know where I'm going to be next' but he says he loves the unknown!
