Dr Amir's air fryer pakoras
Dr Amir's back making another quick mid-week snack all cooked the Air Fryer and today it's pakoras.
.Air Fryer Onion Pakoras
Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 red onion, sliced
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp finely chopped ginger
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp garam masala
Pinch of salt
2 handfuls of fresh spinach and coriander
1 tbsp plain flour
3 tbsp gram flour
Spray of vegetable oil
Mint yogurt sauce:
4 tbsp Greek yogurt
1 tsp mint sauce
¼ tsp chilli powder
Mango chutney, to serve
Method:
1. In a bowl mix the onion, garlic, ginger and olive oil, add the chilli flakes, turmeric, garam masala, salt, spinach and coriander, plain and gram flour – mix whilst adding sprinklings of water until you have a thick consistency.
2. Divide the mix into 8-10 portions and flatten out into small slightly flattened balls.
3. Place them in an air fryer at 200c and spray with oil. Cook for 6-7 minutes each side. Flip them over half way through cooking, spraying and cooking again.
4. Mint yogurt sauce: In a bowl mix the yogurt, mint and chilli powder.
5. Serve the onion pakoras with the mint yogurt sauce and mango chutney to dip.
