Chilli chicken burgers
With no added fat, Sally Bee's spicy but healthy burgers are sure to tempt your tastebuds. As part of the Vow to Wow plan, why not try making these into mini meatballs instead and serve them with a green salad if you don’t want to have bread with them.
Ingredients
Serves 4
450g/1lb lean minced chicken or turkey1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped2 garlic cloves, crushed1 red chilli, deseeded and finely chopped2 handfuls chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley2 tsp Worcestershire sauceFreshly ground black pepper
To serve:
Whole-nutty burger buns, sliced in halfRocket and tomato slices
Method
In a large bowl, mix together the minced chicken, onion, garlic, chilli, herbs, Worcestershire sauce and plenty of black pepper
Shape the mixture into four even-sized burgers
Preheat the grill to Medium
Grill the burgers, or cook on the barbecue for 5–6 minutes on each side – until well browned and cooked through
Serve in the burger buns with rocket and sliced tomatoes
Sally's tip: You don’t need to use salt or fat to add flavour to a dish - herbs and spices work just as well and are better for you!
