Knighthood for Wiltshire explorer Sir David Hempleman-Adams

Explorer David Hempleman-Adams was at Buckingham Palace this morning where he was bestowed with the honour of a knighthood.

The 60-year-old from Wiltshire was made a Knight Commander of the Victorian Order. It's in recognition of his services to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award scheme.

Sir David, who has led more than 30 expeditions to the Arctic, said the honour was "wonderful".
