Swansea homeless centre may be forced to close due to lack of money
A homeless centre in Swansea said it may have to close later this week as it has run out of money and cannot afford to pay its bills.
Swansea Homeless Sanctuary provides a range of services including advice and training. It is currently appealing for donations to pay its £900 worth of debts.
Deborah Ford has been using her own money to pay rent and utility bills but still the centre owes close to a thousand pounds.
Many of the people who access the drop in centre are the most vulnerable in the city.
Mark Tobin, also known as Mouse, has lived on the streets of Swansea for a number of years. He said the drop in centre is a vital service for him.
Mouse says life on the streets is incredibly hard and the chance to sit and talk at the Homeless Sanctuary is time spent away from the harsh realities of living on the streets.
