'Rough guide' to rough sleeping published in memory of homeless man in Cardiff
A charity has published a guide book for people sleeping on the streets of Cardiff, which provides advice on where to find help.
The Wallich said the book's aim is to help people experiencing homelessness and be 'part of the legacy' of the Homeless World Cup currently being held in the city.
'Rough Guide to Sleeping Rough in Cardiff' has been printed in memory of former homeless man Marky Quinn.
It includes a map, plus advice on where to find help, shelter and food on each day of the week.
The information for the book was curated by Marky Quinn, who became homeless at the age of 35. Marky died earlier this year.
Mr Quinn, who slept in Cardiff car parks, doorways and beneath a bush in Bute Park over a two-year period. Marky worked with The Wallich to launch the first edition in 2009.
The charity said all information has now been updated and reprinted in his memory and gives a 'poignant new take on the phrase “rough guide”'.
