A man and a 14-year-old boy have been hurt in two stabbings in Liverpool which police believe are linked.

A father and son have been handed suspended prison sentences for starving their dog to death leaving her with "with every bone visible through her fur".

Police were called to Asda in Walton, after reports a woman had been found in a parked car.
