284 families have been told they can return to their homes after the town was devastated by floods.

Agricultural workers are among those braced for a financial hit, after the heavy rainfall caused the River Steeping to burst its banks.

Floods minister Therese Coffey saw first hand the devastation caused by the floods in Wainfleet.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms for tomorrow and Wednesday (18th/19th June) in the Lincolnshire area.

Lincolnshire Police have issued an additional list of more than 30 postcodes which have been now been affected by flooding. 

Emergency services have began rescuing people from homes in Wainfleet as floods continue to cause damage to properties.
