Sunderland Airshow

Sunderland City Council has announced it has no plans to run the event again, saying it contradicts their carbon neutral by 2040 commitment.

Fairer weather meant that ten of 14 organised air displays could perform for the crowds, which arrived on the seafront in their thousands.

Adverse weather up and down the country has made conditions difficult to fly some of the planes in, raising safety concerns.
