Business owner Carley Jackson found some of her hats swimming in eight inches of flood water at the weekend.

People living in the village of Lanchester awoke to see Front Street submerged in water, with homes and businesses affected.

Firefighters are dealing with two separate woodland fires. One is at Hurworth Burn, near Hartlepool, and the other is near Lanchester.
