Two separate woodland fires break out in County Durham
Firefighters are dealing with two separate woodland fires in County Durham. One is at Hurworth Burn, near Hartlepool, and the other is near Lanchester.
Crews from County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue are working with colleagues from Cleveland Fire Brigade to control flames at both sites.
Four appliances and a water tanker are at the Hurworth Burn fire which covers 7,000 square metres.
Six appliances are at the A691 road (Lanchester to Durham). This fire covers 8,000 square metres.
