Jack Sargeant

Jack Sargeant, son of the late Carl Sargeant, has won the Alyn & Deeside by-election and will take his father's seat in the Welsh Assembly.

Labour will tonight pick a candidate for the Assembly by-election caused by the death of Carl Sargeant. The front runner is his son Jack.

Jack Sargeant says he will seek the Labour nomination to be the next AM for Alyn & Deeside following his father's death.
