The former X Factor hopeful was signed to Simon Cowell's label Syco, but her first single failed to make an impact.

Honey made the announcement in a video message on Twitter during the Sunday night final of the ITV show.

The young singer said he was now throwing his support behind girlfriend Emily Middlemas, who he met during the show.
