Hastings Pier

Hastings Pier opened its gates to the public for the first time this year, after a long stand off between the council and the pier owner.

The Friends of Hastings Pier have been granted more time to raise £1 million. They have set up a crowdfunding page to help raise the money.

Seven years ago Hastings Pier was almost destroyed by a fire. Today, less than a year after re-opening, it's been named Pier of The Year.
