Mum, grandmother and little sister drive 70 miles across Nevada desert to visit Michael Sandford at detention centre
With a mixture of excitement and trepidation, Michael Sandford's grandmother and little sister prepared for their visit.
The judge granted them meetings at the detention centre where is he is being held.
Twenty-year-old Michael was arrested last June after he allegedly tried to grab an officer's gun at a political rally for Donald Trump.
But instead of Michael being brought to Las Vegas they had to go to him.
Their journey was 70 miles across the Nevada desert, and took them more than an hour to travel.
With security behind them, their visit was now just steps away
It's unclear when Michael who is severely autistic will see any of his family again. They all fly back to the UK tomorrow.
