Granada Lucy Letby Trial

The Care Quality Commission were not told of concerns about unexplained deaths at the Countess of Chester Hospital’s neonatal unit where Letby worked.

Senior paediatrician Dr Ravi Jayaram has told a public inquiry he should have been "braver" and asked for Lucy Letby's removal from a neonatal unit in Chester.

Dr Jane Hawdon was tasked to carry out a review after another independent probe had failed to identify any explanation for an increase in neonatal mortality.
