GMP say IT system iOPS is fixed after officers were 'using paper to record data'
After reports staff at GMP were 'using paper to record data' following an 'intermittent problem' with IT system iOPS, the force say the issues have now been resolved.
In a statement, GMP said:
"The issue we had with iOPS, PoliceWorks, yesterday has now been resolved and access is available to all users across the force. Our suppliers have worked tirelessly to rectify the issue and continue to rectify any problems officers are experiencing in the live version.
"The 2.6 launch has been successful and work is now underway to fine-tune the new version to best suit the needs of frontline officers. This includes improving the performance of the system and responding to officer feedback; by putting patches and fixes in place to ensure the system is fully utilised."
The Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police recently admittedproblems with the forces new computer system could take months to resolve.
