GMP Chief admits problems with new IT system could take months to resolve
The Chief Constable of Greater Manchester Police has admitted problems with the forces new computer system could take months to resolve.
Officers told us the issues started as soon as the £27 million Integrated Operational Policing System was turned on in July.
Now, the head of GMP, Ian Hopkins, has admitted software bugs have impacted on his officers' ability to their jobs.
One defence solicitor has told Granada Reports "criminals are potentially walking the streets and haven't been brought to account for their actions."
