Social distancing: Two metre rule reduced to one in Jersey

Islanders must keep one metre apart in Jersey under new social distancing guidelines.

The previous two metre rule has been reduced from today (26 June).

Other changes from this Friday include allowing "limited physical contact with a small number of people from outside your household", although people are asked to be cautious and maintain good hygiene.

The blanket closing time of 10:45pm has also been lifted, meaning venues can return to their normal licensed hours.

From next Wednesday (1 July), pubs will be able to reopen, followed by the island's borders on 3 July.
