All Jersey retailers can reopen from today

All retailers in Jersey are allowed to reopen from today (18 May).

It is the latest relaxation of rules under level three of the government's lockdown exit plan.

Previously, only those deemed essential were able to continue trading, but now restrictions have been lifted on all shops, as long as social distancing is able to be maintained within them.

During the announcement, which was made last Friday (15 May), Senator Lyndon Farnham also confirmed that talks are underway to find a way for dental practises, hair and beauty salons, and health and fitness establishments to also reopen.
