6 hours outside with up to 5 people: Jersey's lockdown restrictions eased again
Islanders can spend a maximum of six hours a day outside with up to five people who are not from their household.
The move, which came in this morning (11 May) is the first part of level three of the government's Safe Exit Framework.
Later in this level, these restrictions are expected to be eased even further, if Covid-19 remains under control.
Islanders are reminded that social distancing must be maintained at all times, and it is still not advised to invite others into your home.
Those who are considered extremely vulnerable should still shield themselves, however over 65s are no longer automatically put into this category.
Other changes include:
Restaurants and cafés can operate physically-distanced outdoor seated food service
Open air recreational sites can welcome visitors, excluding their indoor enclosed areas (except for purposes of entry and exit)
Large, non-essential retail shops are also able to reopen (those with a retail sales area of at least 700 square metres), provided they maintain two-metre physical distancing
Public health guidance will be published tomorrow for businesses and organisations in each of these sectors.
A briefing will take place this morning at 9:30am where the Chief Minister, Health Minister and Economic Development Minister will answer questions on the next stage of the Safe Exit Strategy.
