A third person has been arrested in connection to the vandalising of the wreath laid by the former Bailiff at the War Memorial on Smith Street in Guernsey.

The police have now arrested a 21-year-old woman on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and being concerned with criminal damage.

A 24-year-old woman was arrested earlier today and a 19-year-old man was arrested on 10 May in connection with the damage.

The force says the 24 and 19-year-old have been released on bail as they review CCTV footage of the incident.
