Liberation 75: How the islands marked the anniversary
It is 75 years since the Channel Islands were liberated from German Occupation.
As public places lay empty, commemorations were held at home to mark this year's anniversary.
Despite the global pandemic, Channel Islanders stood united in celebration of Liberation Day this weekend.
Jersey and Guernsey were freed from Nazi occupation on 9 May 1945, while Sark residents were given their freedom a day later.
There were no islanders on Alderney at the time and the German troops living there did not surrender until 16 May.
