More than £90,000 spent on maintaining L'Ancresse Wall in the last year
More than £90,000 has been spent maintaining L'Ancresse Wall over the past year.
Deputy Neil Inder's questions to the States revealed it has cost £96,252 for repairs from 2017.
The former anti-tank wall has been an issue of contention after the States narrowly voted to remove a damaged section and let it return to a natural sandbank last year.
There were protests to save the wall and an attempt to make it a listed site.
A planning application for changes to the wall is set to be submitted this week and work is due to start from July 2019.
