Sarah Groves' alleged killer begs court to move jail
The man accused of murdering Guernsey woman Sarah Groves has pleaded with the court in India to be moved to a new prison.
Sarah's father, Vic Groves, says Richard de Wit has long since believed authorities are trying to poison him.
Today he told a judge today "some chemical is being mixed in drinking water provided to me that has deteriorated my health".
The judge refused his request to move because there is nowhere else to put him.
Mr de Wit, who is from Denmark, also claims he has been given no medical help.
But, Vic says he has consistently refused all medical help from the prison and hospital authorities.
Mr de Wit was recently sent to hospital "for counselling" by a judge, with Vic explaining he has been on hunger strike.
The trial has been going on since 2013, shortly after Sarah was found murdered on a houseboat in Kashmir.
