Findings of Jersey Care Inquiry due to be published in July
The findings of the investigation into historical child abuse in Jersey are due to be published in July.
The Independent Jersey Care Inquiry announced this morning that the report will be released on July 3rd 2017, 'subject to any unforseen circumstances.'
The £21M investigation is set to establish what went wrong in the island's care system and to help find answers for people who suffered abuse as children. Hearings were held between July 2014 and June 2016.
Its findings were initially due to be published before the end of 2016. This was later delayed until the end of March this year.
Inquiry officials said the delay was due to them receiving recommendations of how to improve Jersey's childcare system for the future.
