States to hold special sitting after Care Inquiry report released
A special States sitting will be called after the Independent Care Inquiry publishes its report on child abuse in the Bailiwick.
The Chief Minister confirmed that he will call a special sitting to allow members the chance to debate the recommendations raised in the report.
The report had been due to be released in the first quarter of this year.
However, three weeks ago further delays were announced to the report's publication because of "new evidence".
The inquiry, which has cost more than £21.5 million, will make recommendations as to the future of child care provision in the Island.
Senator Gorst said that he would make a statement on the report once it was released before Members discuss the findings.
