Central Refugees

There are fears that Ukrainian refugees in the Midlands are being forced to choose between homelessness and returning to their war-torn homeland.

It comes after ITV News Central reported how four-year-old Alika Zubets was sent back to Ukraine, despite having relatives and a host family in Staffordshire.

An urgent motion was put forward calling on the council to show solidarity and offer practical support to its Ukrainian community in the city.
