A firefighter has spoken about the dramatic moment he saved a lifeless refugee baby girl in the sea off the Greek island of Lesbos.

Brendan Woodhouse bravely swam out in the pitch black to the five-month-old girl after seeing an inflatable boat burst and capsize - spilling 35 refugees into the freezing waters.

Brendan went out with an organisation called 'Lighthouse Refugee Relief' and set up a Facebook group called 'Let's Help Lesbos' in order to fundraise and to point people in the right direction to donate.
