Jack Brereton has been selected as the Conservative candidate for the Stoke-on-Trent Central by-election.
The 25-year-old was born and bred in the constituency and lives locally with his wife.
He is a local councillor and has been a school Governor at Hillside Primary since 2011.
The by-election was triggered by the resignation of Tristram Hunt, who stood down as an MP to become director of London's V&A museum.
