A Conservative seat since 1997, this is also one of UKIP's strongest seats. They received 9.5% of the vote in 2010, their second highest, and they topped the polls in the 2013 County Council elections.
The Conservative MP Mark Simmonds stood down this year.
It's a largely rural seat where tourism and agriculture dominate.
