Local election results: Labour holds councils across Calendar region
There has been little shift in power across the Calendar region with Labour maintaining a stronghold across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire following yesterday's local elections.
Leeds City Council remains Labour-run, as do councils in Bradford and Sheffield.
Labour also holds Wakefield, where the Conservatives gained four seats.
In Hull, Labour held on - despite losing seven seats to the Liberal Democrats. Lincoln also remain Labour-controlled.
However, no single party controls North East Lincolnshire where UKIP lost three seats.
Counting in Barnsley, Calderdale, Kirklees, Craven and Harrogate began on Friday morning.
South Yorkshire's first directly elected mayor will also be announced on Friday afternoon.
