Election 2018 results: Labour holds councils across Calendar region

There has been little shift in power across the Calendar region with Labour holding councils in Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.

Result: Lab HOLD Hull

Liberal Democrats made significant gains in Hull overnight but Labour remains in control of the council following yesterday's local elections.

Boundary changes meant the entire council was up for election - with all 57 council seats being contested.

The Lib Dems have seven new councillors. Labour lost seven, and Independents are down two from the previous composition.

The new look of the chamber is as follows:

  • Labour - 31
  • Liberal Democrats - 24
  • Conservatives - 2
