Reggie's rainbow ribbons raise £3,000 for the Cumberland Infirmary's ITU
A man from Aspatria has raised more than £3,000 for the NHS by making and selling multi-coloured ribbon bows.
Reggie Garry Greenhow has been making the rainbow keepsakes during the lockdown, all to raise funds for ITU at Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary.
Reggie started raising money for the department after he was furloughed from work, and said the ITU is a 'close to his heart'.
He said: "I spent time in there after having a kidney removed due to cancer. The guys are brave and I wanted to say thank you."
The Intensive Care Unit has cared for a number of patients who have become seriously ill with coronavirus since the outbreak began.
Reggie is asking for £3, or a donation, for each of the bows, which are starting to pop up in windows, shop floors, cars and even inside hospitals.
All of the money raised will go directly to the NHS.
