Cumbria's football community gives domestic abuse the red card
Lookaround report by Kate Walby
Police in Cumbria have teamed up with Carlisle United and the Cumberland Football Association to try to raise awareness of domestic abuse.
The new campaign aims to send a message to men, women and children that domestic violence has to stop.
'United Against Abuse' uses the power of sport to spread the word.
"Domestic abuse effects people for the rest of their lives and people shouldn’t have to live like that" says Detective Inspector James Yallop.
“Every victim of domestic abuse needs to know our officers are here for them. In addition, there is so much support available to help keep people safe”.

Football players are being encouraged by Cumberland FA to play wearing a red stripe on their face and has asked them to tweet pictures with the hashtag #UnitedAgainstAbuse.
Teams that take part will enter a competition to win a full strip for each player.
