Girl, 17, racially abused on Carlisle bus

Police are investigating after a 17-year-old girl was racially abused on a bus in Carlisle city centre.

The incident happened on 26 June between 3:20pm and 3:40pm on the 61 bus.

A woman, who got on the bus outside of the Vue Cinema on Botchergate, is reported to have verbally abused the girl.

Officers would like to speak to the woman who is described as slim build with long black hair.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact 101.
