Man arrested following racially-aggravated incident
Officers have arrested a man in connection with a racially-aggravated public order incident in Workington.
Police were alerted to an incident on 1 July at 3:25pm, where a man has shouted racial abuse at a woman and two children who were walking along Murray Road.
A 65-year-old man, from Workington, was arrested and is being held for questioning.
Officers would like to speak to members of the public who witnessed the incident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 and ask to speak to an officer.
