Man cleared of stalking Kendall Jenner - but guilty of trespassing at her LA home
A man has been cleared of stalking Kendall Jenner - but found guilty of trespassing at her Hollywood home.
The model and reality TV star told a court she had "never been so scared in my life" after finding Shavaughn McKenzie lurking in her driveway.
Jenner - who is the younger sister of Kim Kardashian - said she recognised him as the same man who twice accosted her while she was driving outside her former LA home.
McKenzie, 25, then started banging on her car windows.
"I definitely don't feel safe in my own house any more," Jenner told jurors.
McKenzie's lawyer Taylor Shramo had urged the jury to reject the stalking charge, saying there was no evidence McKenzie intended to cause Jenner fear.
He added he hoped to secure mental health treatment for McKenzie who he said just wanted to talk to Jenner and posed no danger to her.
A forensic psychiatrist hired to evaluate McKenzie testified he was delusional and his efforts to locate Jenner were part of his mental illness.
McKenzie's mother June Osavio told jurors she repeatedly tried to get help for her son, but he refused to take his medication.
He disappeared in March 2015 after they moved to Georgia, she said.
The trial comes just weeks after Kendall's older sister Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in Paris.
The social media star and wife of Kanye West announced she was "taking a break from the limelight" after the £8 million heist.
It is thought her £3.5 million engagement ring was among the items taken.
She has launched legal action against claims she may have staged the attack herself.
