Depp 'cut off fingertip and painted message in blood' in jealous rage
Johnny Depp cut off the tip of one of his fingers before painting a message using the bloodied stump during an ecstasy and alcohol-fuelled fit of rage, according to court documents filed by his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Documents filed by Heard in a domestic abuse case include gruesome photographs showing the Pirate of the Caribbean Star's badly wounded finger, according to US gossip website TMZ.
They reportedly allege that Depp, 53, sliced off the tip of a finger while smashing bottles and windows in a jealous fury only a month after his marriage to Heard, 30, in February 2015.
He then dipped the stump into a tin of paint and wrote "Starring Billy Bob Easy Amber" on a mirror, according to reports from TMZ.
It allegedly refers to Depp's belief that Heard was having an affair with the her former co-star Billy Bob Thornton. The two had appeared in the Informers and London Fields.
The court papers also claim that Depp, who was in Australia at the time, did not have the finger treated for 24 hours and doctors had to fashion a new tip using skin from his hand.
Claims of domestic abuse against Depp emerged after Heard filed for divorce in May, citing irreconcilable differences.
In court papers filed in Los Angeles, the 30-year-old actress said Depp had a "history of drug and alcohol abuse" and been "verbally and physically abusive" for the entirety of their four-year-relationship.
She previously released photographs showing bruising and cuts to her face she said were caused by Depp attacking her.
Neither Depp nor Heard were immediately available for comment on the latest reports.
