Johnny Depp ordered to stay away from wife after claims he 'hit her with iPhone'
Johnny Depp has been ordered to stay at least 100 yards from his estranged wife Amber Heard after she claimed he repeatedly hit her during a recent fight.
Heard said in a sworn declaration that Depp pulled her hair, screamed at her and violently grabbed her face.
She also claimed he threw her iPhone at her during a fight on Saturday, striking her cheek and eye.
She submitted a picture of her bruised face when she applied for a restraining order on Friday.
The judge in Los Angeles also ruled that the Oscar-nominated actor should not try to contact Heard until a hearing is conducted next month.
Heard filed for divorce on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences and saying the pair had separated the day before.
Depp's attorney Laura Wasser declined to comment.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star is in Portugal for a performance with his band Hollywood Vampires.
Wasser wrote in a court filing that Depp was out of the country and would agree to a mutual stay-away order.
