Louisa Johnson crowned X Factor winner 2015
Louisa Johnson has been crowned the winner of the X Factor 2015.
The 17-year-old, who was the bookies' favourite, is the youngest ever winner of the talent show.
She is now set to be a strong contender for the Christmas Number One with her take on the Bob Dylan song Forever Young.
Louisa, of Essex, won a convincing victory over the Ghanaian rap duo Reggie 'N' Bollie.
"I’ve imagined this day for so many years, you have no idea how much this means to me, thank you so much," she said through tears after the result was announced.
Louisa won over viewers with her version of the James Brown classic It’s A Man’s World, followed by a soulful rendition of the classic Dylan track.
Reggie 'N' Bollie gave a high-energy rendition of Reel 2 Reel’s 1990s dance hit I Like to Move It, though they struggled with their live performance Forever Young.
The pair were magnanimous in defeat though, saying they were delighted to make made it through to the finale.
"We came here empty handed and we are leaving fully loaded," they said.
Adele made a special appearance on the show, singing her hit single Hello from new album 25.
The night also saw a performance from One Direction, who were formed in the seventh series of the show in 2010 and finished in third place before going on to huge worldwide fame.
“Well this takes me back,” said Simon Cowell on their return to the X Factor stage. “I never could have predicted what would have happened next.”
The starry list of guest stars was completed with a performance from Coldplay, plus a video cameo from Hollywood Star Will Ferrell, who paid a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the show.
The result marks the first winning act for Louisa's mentor Rita Ora, who jumped ship to the ITV show from the BBC's The Voice earlier this year.
VAT from sales of the X Factor winner's single will be donated to children's charities.
