Louie Spence: Living with anxiety

I got to a state where I wasn't speaking, I didn't want to eat, I didn't want to go out ... I've never wanted to kill myself, but I thought sometimes it would be easier if I wasn't here

Louie Spence on his battle with depression

Louie Spence joined Lorraine in the studio this morning to discuss how he has lived with anxiety all of his life. Louie Spence is a dancer, choreographer and television personality.

Extrovert Louie appears publicly to have 'not a care in the world', but he confessed he has learnt to mask his anxiety in public. He spoke candidly about falling into a constant state of anxiety and urged men to start speaking up about mental health issues.

As part Mental Health Awareness Week on Lorraine Louie met a group of men in similar situations to him, through the charity Time to Change.

Louie has previously shared details of his secret anxiety battle with Lorraine.
