Louie Spence opens up about secret anxiety battle

Reality star and entertainer Louie Spence has spoken out about his life-long battle with anxiety, admitting that he almost reached breaking point following the death of his mother.

The professional dancer and panto star, who was on today's show to discuss his return to the stage as Dandini in Cinderella, said he now relies on medication to control his panic attacks.

''I've always suffered with anxiety since I was a child, about 12,'' he said, revealing that the problems took a turn for the worse after his mother died in 2012.

''My anxiety became uncontrollable,'' he said. ''It controlled every moment of my life and it turned into depression.

''I just hit rock bottom - I got to a point where I actually could not cope any longer. I had tried to beat this all my life. I got to breaking point and I needed some kind of help. In the end, I decided to take medication.''
