Johnson up against Hunt in final showdown for Tory Leadership
Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt go head to head in the race to become the UK's next prime minister after Michael Gove was eliminated from the Tory leadership contest in today's final ballot of MPs.
The results of this afternoon's ballot are as follows:Boris Johnson - 160 votesJeremy Hunt - 77 votesMichael Gove - 75 votes
The final decision as to who will be stepping into Number 10 now rests with the 160,000 Conservative Party members in a postal ballot, with the result expected in the week beginning July 22.
Earlier today, Home Secretary Sajid Javid was eliminated from the race after receiving the fewest votes in the fourth ballot. Read more.

Boris JohnsonThe former foreign secretary has been a vocal critic of Theresa May's Brexit plan and has committed to keeping the October 31 deadline to exit the EU even if that means leaving without a deal saying that he will step up no-deal preparations.
Jeremy HuntThe Foreign Secretary campaigned for Remain in the 2016 referendum and is viewed as a moderate candidate on Brexit. He has said he would keep no-deal on the table, but warned it could be “political suicide” for the Conservatives as Parliament would force a general election.
